Florence Laudano

Florence J. Laudano, 80, of Stamford passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, April 8, 2016. She was born in Brooklyn, NY on October 31, 1935 to the late Joseph and Josephine Harrity Heelan.
Florence was retired from the Dime Savings Bank of NY. She loved her family, playing Bingo and traveling with her three amigos.
She is survived by her loving children Peter Canevari and his wife Rose of NY, Arthur Canevari and his wife Dawn of NY, Andrew Laudano of CA, Keith Laudano and his wife Tammy of PA, Denise Cirillo and her husband Tony of FL, Kenneth Laudano of NY, Loretta Bartlett and her husband Tom of CT and Barbara Ann Laudano of CT, as well as a brother Robert Heelan and his wife Kathy of FL and a sister MaryAnn Cruz and her husband Jose of FL, seventeen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and her loving friend Deborah J. Capel of CT.
Besides her parents, Florence was predeceased by seven brothers and two sisters.
A funeral procession will be leaving the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford on Friday, April 15, 2016 at 9:40 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 AM at St. Mary’s RC Church, 566 Elm Street, Stamford. Interment will follow at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, April 14, 2016 from 4:00-8:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Florence’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
