Florence Verderosa
January 6, 1912 — November 29, 2012
Florence “Bubbles” Verderosa, 100 years old, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on, Thursday, November 29, 2012 at the Smith House of Stamford. She was born in Italy on January 6, 1912, to the late John and Mary Valliente Tedesco.
She is survived by her daughter Mary Ann Gatto and her husband S. Rudy of Stamford, a son Peter Verderosa and wife Maria of Norwalk. She is also survived by her grandchildren Christopher and Evana, along with Christopher’s wife Laura, all of Darien. Florence’s great-grandchildren Gregory and Benjamin also survive her.
Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her beloved husband Angelo Verderosa.
Florence’s family will always be thankful for the way in which she cared for them.
Family and friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford, CT on Monday December 3, 2012 from 9:30AM to 10:30AM. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 10:30AM on Monday, December 3, 2012, for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at St. Bridget of Ireland RC Church, 278 Strawberry Hill Ave. 06902 at 11:00AM. Interment will follow at the Fairfield Memorial Park, Oaklawn Ave., Stamford, CT.
