Frances Carey

Frances Ellen Carey, 101, of Stamford passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, March 18, 2018. She was born in Georgia on July 2, 1916 to the late Fred and Frances Benke.
Frances is survived by her loving children, James E. Carey III and his wife Patricia of Tampa, FL, Kevin J. Carey and his wife Terry of Milford, CT, Michael P. Carey and his wife Gail of Stamford, daughter in law, Mary Cummins of Stamford, as well as her grandchildren, James E. Carey IV, Michael C. Carey and his wife Karin, Matthew K. Carey and Ryan M. Carey. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Frances was predeceased by her husband James E. Carey, her son Frederick Carey and one brother and one sister.
Funeral services and Interment will be held privately at a later date. There will be no calling hours. The Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory is honored to assist the Carey family with the arrangements.
