Frances Marion Cohen

Frances Marion Cohen, 83, of Stamford passed away peacefully on Tuesday July 11, 2006. Born in Brooklyn, NY on May 4, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Barnett and Mamie Kurtz Woolf.
Frances relocated to Stamford 11 years ago, where she continued her passions for playing cards, bingo, listening to Frank Sinatra, cooking, and volunteering at various organizations. She was also a retired bookkeeper.
Her family and extended family were everything to her. She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Saviano; Shelley Ivanko; and Susan De Rosa and her husband Michael; two daughter-in-laws, Frances Cohen and MaryAnne Cohen; grandchildren, Heather Keating; Shawn Mestres; Mark Cohen; Michael Cohen; Michael De Rosa; Matthew Calisi; and Michael Calisi; four great grandchildren, three nieces, two nephews, and over the years, many close friends who became her family.
Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her sister, Roslyn Tainsky; and her two sons, Leon and Edward Cohen.
There will be no calling hours. A private service will be held at a later date.
