Frances Crescio

Frances Lucille Crescio, 102, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2018 at Edgehill of Stamford. She was born on January 14, 1916 in Harrison, NY to the late Salvatore and Rose Provenzano Girardi.
Fran was an Executive Secretary for Dorr Oliver of Stamford for over 20 years having retired in the 1980s. She was a longtime member of St. Bridget of Ireland RC Church. She was an avid Yankees fan, and was frequently seen at Mohegan Sun Casino.
Fran is survived by her sister Rosalie Cornacchio of Stamford, many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Americo F. Crescio in 2007. She is also predeceased by five siblings Emily Minniti, Victor E. Girardi, Vincent Girardi, Michael Girardi and George Girardi, Sr.
Friends and family may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Thursday, February 8, 2018 from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM. A funeral procession will then proceed to St. Bridget of Ireland RC Church, 278 Strawberry Hill Avenue, Stamford, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Greenwich.
