Frances Decarlo
February 8, 1925 — January 18, 2015
Frances DeCarlo, 89, of Stamford, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2015. Frances was born in Stamford on February 8, 1925 to the late John and Maria Colavita Sacco.
Frances cared affectionately about her family and had a passion for music and dancing, she was an avid tennis player and she loved to cook.
Frances is survived by her husband Mario DeCarlo of Stamford, her four daughters; Maureen and her husband Michael Valiquette of Florida, Roxanne DeCarlo of Stamford, Debora DeCarlo Rosa and her husband Vinny of Redding and Angela DeCarlo of Stamford, as well as her sister Grace Loglisci of Stamford. Her eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren also survive.
Besides her parents, Frances is predeceased by her sisters, Anna Mercede, Rose Cognetta, Lucy Loglisci and Tessie Sacco as well as her brothers Anthony and Joseph Sacco.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Cecilia’s RC Church, 1184 Newfield Avenue, Stamford, CT on Thursday January 22, 2015 at 11:00AM. Entombment will follow at St. John’s RC Cemetery Mausoleum, Darien. There will be no calling hours. The Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory is honored to handle the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 38105.
