Frances Mallozzi of Stamford passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, November 5, 2014. Frances was born in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Giovanni and Eugenia Cappuccia Ciacciarelli.
Frances made her home in Stamford for more than sixty years, where she raised her family and tended to her beautiful gardens. She was a member of the Minturnese Social Club and past president of their Women’s Auxiliary. Frances also loved to travel, but most of all, she loved to be in the kitchen cooking for her family.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Vincent Mallozzi, a daughter Rina Curcio and her husband Ron, a son Lewis DiCostanzo and his wife Donna, her grandchildren, Lori Lehan and her husband Ed, Scott Curcio and his wife Nancy, Dana DiCostanzo-Tournour and her husband Gene, Sam Kennedy and his wife Christine, Robin Cramer and her husband Brad and also twelve great grandchildren.
Besides her parents, Frances was predeceased by her first husband, Guilio DiCostanzo, a sister Annamarie D’Acunto, two brothers Michael and Louis Ciacciarelli and her daughter Julie Brzoska.
A funeral procession will be leaving the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford on Monday, November 10, 2014 at 9:15 AM for a Mass of Christain Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 AM at St. Gabriel RC Church, 914 Newfield Avenue, Stamford. Entombment will follow at the Chapel Mausoleum at St. Mary’s RC Cemetery, Greenwich. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, November 9, 2014 from 4:00-8:00 PM.
