Frances H. Russo 76 of Stamford on Sat. May 27, 2006 at Princess Margaret Hospital on Paradise Island, Bahamas, while on vacation.
Born in Stamford October 4, 1929 she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Rose Muha Evanko.
Mrs. Russo was employed in the business office of the Ferguson Library in downtown Stamford retiring after many years of service. She was formerly an active member of the Womens Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus in Stamford.
Survivors include a granddaughter Jamie Russo Larson, a grandson Thomas Russo both of Easely, South Carolina and a sister Ann Lichack of Stamford, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband Michael A. Russo, a son James Russo, her twin sister Florence Buzel, two other sisters Marie Laychak and Rose Bohacs, and a brother Andrew Evanko.
A Funeral Procession will leave the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory 104 Myrtle Ave. Stamford on Mon. June 5, 2006 at 10:20 AM and proceed to St. Benedict/Our Lady of Montserrat RC Church 1 Benedict Circle, Stamford for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. John RC Cemetery Darien, CT.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made in Mrs. Russos name to either the American Heart Association 5 Brookside Dr. Wallingford, CT 06492-1822 or the Ferguson Library 1 Public Library Plaza Stamford, CT 06901.
