Frank Cavaliero

Frank John Cavaliero, 94, of Stamford passed away peacefully at his home on June 6, 2014. Frank was born in New York, NY on April 10, 1920 to the late Frank and Catherine Cumo Cavaliero.
Frank was a past president, and continued active member, of the Exchange Club and an active member of the Piedmont Club. He was an usher at Sacred Heart RC Church and a former member of the Racing Pigeon Racing Club. He was a Specialist 2nd Class in the Intelligence Organization of the U.S Navy when he served during WW II. Frank lived an active life up until the last two months of his life working at Plaza Realty and Management, as a Realtor. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed traveling to Colorado to spend time with his family.
Frank is survived by his son Richard Cavaliero and his wife Lynn of Colorado, his two sisters; Mary Guglielmo of Stafford Springs, CT and Agnes Lund of Fort Meyers, FL. Three grandchildren; Matthew and his wife Dana, Mark and his wife Martha and Meghan, and four great-grandchildren; Kaikea, Jackson, Katelyn and Camryn also survive.Frank was also fortunate to have an abundance of loving nieces and nephews who have enjoyed his love and support throughout their lives.
Besides his parents, Frank is predeceased by his loving wife Adelaide Ceaser Cavaliero, as well as his siblings; Elizabeth, Rose, Mildred, Leana, Jack, Rocky and Catherine.
A funeral procession will leave the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, CT on Monday June 16, 2014 at 9:20 AM and proceed to Sacred Heart RC Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, CT, for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00AM. Interment will follow at St. John’s RC Cemetery, Darien, CT. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday June 14, 2014 or Sunday June 15, 2014 from 4:00 to 8:00PM.
