Frank Ciano

Frank J. Ciano, Sr., 88 of Stamford, passed away on Monday, May 3, 2010 at Richard L. Rosenthal Hospice Residence. Born on February 2, 1922 in Stamford, he was the son of the late Peter and Teresa Nigro Ciano. He was an accountant for 42 years for FAG Bearings.
Frank is survived by his daughter, Nancy L. Ciano of Stamford; his son, Frank J. Ciano, Jr. of Waterbury; his brothers-in-law, Joseph A. Calandrelli of Stamford and John V. Calandrelli and his wife Judy A. of Fairfield; his sister-in-law Aida (Edi) Calandrelli-Longo and her husband Frank W. of Bridgeport. Three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
In addition to his parents, Frank was predeceased by his wife Augusta Ciano on April 19, 2010; his brother, Thomas Ciano; four sisters, Antoinette Sullo, Fannie Santangelli, Lucy Gesullo and Lillian Ciano.
Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Thursday, May 6, 2010 from 4:00-8:00PM with a prayer service to be held at 6:00PM. Interment will be private.
