Frank Anthony DeFazio, Jr., 92, died Thursday, October 25, 2007 at his home in Cave Creek, Arizona. Born November 13, 1914 in Maybrook, NY, he was the son of the late Frank and Teresa Maietta DeFazio.
Frank was a retired carpenter of New York City District Council of Carpenters. He was also a Veteran of WWII having served in the US Navy Seabees and served on Tinian Island with the 67th Construction Battalion. Frank was a member of the B.P.O.E. Lodge #899 Stamford, CT Elks, and was also a member of the New York Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by a niece, Margaret (Peg) DeFazio of Cave Creek, AZ; and two nephews, Frank A. DeFazio, III of Stamford, CT; and Steve Foti of United Kingdom.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Adele (Sussi) DeFazio; three brothers, Joseph DeFazio, Nicholas Russo and Michael Russo; and three sisters, Anna Restino, Margaret Falcone and Therese Brophy.
Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Thursday, November 1, 2007 from 5:00 8:00 PM. A funeral procession will be leaving the funeral home at 9:20 AM on Friday, November 2, 2007 and proceed to Sacred Heart RC Church, Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Mount St. Marys Cemetery in Queens, NY.
