Frank Alexander Fedele
November 2, 1925 — September 27, 2006
Frank Alexander Fedele passed into eternal rest on Wednesday, September 27, 2006 at the age of 80. Born in Minturno, Italy on November 2, 1925, he was the son of the late John and Amelia Romano Fedele.
Frank came to America at the age of three and was a Stamford resident for seventy-seven years. He worked at Yale and Towne for ten years and The Country Club of Darien for thirty five years as a foreman. He was a veteran of WWII having served in the US Navy on the USS Franklin Air Craft Carrier (Big Ben). He was also a member of St. Marys RC Church and the VFW Springdale Post 9617.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Yolanda Melfi Fedele of Stamford; three sisters, Angela and her husband Jerry Bothwell of Darien; Mary and her husband Joseph Marino of Wilton; Carmela and her husband Jay Siegal of Coral Springs, FL; two brothers, Anthony Fedele and Robert James of Margate, FL; two children, Daniel Fedele Sr. and his wife Carol of Stamford; Donna Marie and her husband Michael Daniele of Stamford; eight grandchildren, Darlene, Michael, Janet, Daniel Jr., Michelle, Michael, Wade and Deidre; and two great grandchildren, Noah and Hanna Pacelli of Milford.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Marys RC Church, 566 Elm Street, Stamford, on Saturday, September 30, 2006 at 10:00 AM. Interment will then follow at St. Johns Cemetery, Darien. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are being handled by the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford.
