Frank Gerardi, Sr.
June 15, 1930 — April 20, 2010
Frank V. Gerardi, Sr., 79, a lifelong resident of Stamford, passed away on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at the Stamford Hospital. Born on June 15, 1930 in Stamford, he was the son of the late Frank and Mary Rosa Gerardi. Frank was a former employee of Machlett Laboratories, of Stamford and was also involved in real estate, self-managing his residential properties in the 1970’s.
Frank is survived by his wife, Antoinette DePalma Gerardi of Stamford; his daughter Mary Aly of Wilton; his two sons, Frank V. Gerardi, Jr. of Bridgeport and Anthony D. Gerardi and his wife Cathy of Trumbull; and five grandchildren, Vanessa, Nora and Antonio Gerardi, all of Trumbull and Noelle and Gabriel Aly, both of Wilton.
In addition to his parents, Frank was predeceased by his sister, Anna D’Agostino and his brother, Leonard Gerardi.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at St. Cecilia RC Church 1184 Newfield Avenue, Stamford, CT at 10:00AM. Friends may call on Friday, April 23, 2010 from 4:00-8:00PM at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, CT 06902.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Frank’s name to the Connecticut Eye Bank & Visual Research Foundation Inc., 389 John Downey Drive, New Britain, CT 06051-2924
