Frank R. John, Sr.

Frank R. John, Sr., 86, passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2007 at Greenwich Woods. Born June 16, 1920 in Greenwich, he was the son of the late Joseph and Angelina John.
Frank was an active Restauranteur for over twenty years before his career in sales. He was also an avid sports fan, and a Veteran of the US Army Air Corps having served in WWII.
He is survived by his children, Richard F. John and his wife Susan; Sheila Stevens and her husband Gary; Laura Teetman and her husband Leo; Frances Vitti and her husband Nino; and Frank R. John, Jr. and his wife Debbie; two sisters, Carmella John and Lucy Ioli; thirteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his wife, Betty Billone John; five brothers and three sisters.
Friends and family may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, from 10:30 12:00 noon on Thursday, January 18, 2007. A funeral procession will then leave and proceed to St. Marys RC Church, 566 Elm Street, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:30 PM. Interment will be private.
