Freda Valindras

Freda C. Lecuras Valindras, 85, of Stamford, died on Wednesday, July 18th at the Stamford Hospital. She was born on February 26th, 1927 in Nyack, NY. Daughter of the late Charles and Anna Gianukakis Lecuras. She was a resident of Stamford for fifty-seven years. She was well-known to those who frequented the Stamford Government Center and its Patio Café where she served and warmly greeted patrons for many years.
Mrs. Valindras is survived by daughter Kathi Moschos and son-in-law George Moschos of Stamford, CT, her son William Valendra and daughter-in-law Mary Valendra of Graham, NC, and daughter-in-law Marialisa Valendra of Stratford, CT. Survivors also include seven grandchildren: Spero and Amy Moschos of Stamford, CT, Barbara Hayes of Bremmerton, WA, Danielle Valendra of Raleigh, NC, and Nicole Valendra of Graham, NC, Melissa Valendra of Stamford, CT, and Adam Valendra of Stratford, CT. Also survived by six great-grandchildren,two nieces and two nephews. Besides her parents Mrs. Valindras was predeceased by her husband Adam B. Valindras, her son Charles A. Valendra, a great-grandson Anthony Lawrence, a brother Harry Lecuras, and a sister Effie Daly.
Friends and family may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford, CT, TODAY Friday July 20, 2012 from 4:00PM to 8:00PM. A Trisagian Service will be held at 6:00PM with the Reverend Joel McEachen officiating.
The funeral and interment will be privately held the following day.
