Gary D. Remling

Gary D. Remling, 56, passed away suddenly on April 25, 2008 at Stamford Hospital. Born January 5, 1952 in Stamford, he is the son of Beatrice Gerardi Remling and the late Daniel Remling.
A Stamford native, Gary was a devoted member of the Belltown Fire Department and retired as a firefighter in January 2008 after forty years of service.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Joanne Cuiffo Remling of Stamford; a beloved daughter, Nicole Remling of Stamford; and several aunts, uncles, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Tuesday, April 29 from 9:00 10:30 AM. A funeral procession will then leave the funeral home and proceed to St. Bridget of Ireland RC Church, 278 Strawberry Hill Avenue, Stamford, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 AM. Interment will follow at St. Johns Cemetery in Darien.
