George R. Mihalik, a lifelong resident of Stamford passed away on December 14, 2024 at the age of 75. George was born in Stamford on February 19, 1949, son of the late George J. and M. Virgina Rohacik Mihalik.
George was a dedicated collector of vintage treasures, a loving father, a talented photographer, an accomplished baseball and volleyball player, and a lover of animals and classic rock music. He was known for his commitment to his family, his playful sense of humor, and his adventurous spirit.
George is survived by his daughters, Kate and her husband Tim McLaughlin, and Erin Mihalik of PA., his brother Douglas Mihalik of CT, and his sister Susan Parsons and her husband Joseph of MA. George is also survived by his cherished granddaughters Teagan and Hadley McLaughlin.
Family and friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford, CT on Saturday, January 11, 2025 from 10:00AM to 12:00PM. The interment will be privately held. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in memory of George to SoundWaters.
