Gerald G. Laber

Gerald G. Laber, 90, of Stamford, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 6, 2026. Gerald was born on February 19, 1936 in Peekskill, NY to the late Sidney and Mary Brophy Laber.

Gerald served in the Navy on the USS Forrestal for four years. During that time he received a good conduct medal. He is a retired meat cutter serving in several stores throughout Stamford. His favorite thing to do was cheer on the New York Mets and New York Jets and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his son David Laber, his daughter Bonnie Smith, her husband Timothy Smith, and three grandchildren Thomas Laber, Kayla Rosati, and Timothy Smith.

Besides his parents, Gerald is predeceased by his loving wife May.

There will be no calling hours and interment will be private.
