Gertrude Schlegel

Gertrude Schlegel, 91, passed away on November 26, 2006 at Pope John Paul II Center for Health. Born March 8, 1915 in Stamford, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Julia McGuiness Lonergan.
She is survived by a daughter, Susan S. McGroddy; two sons, Gerard K. Schlegel of California; and Garry P. Schlegel of Colorado; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Gerard L. Schlegel.
There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 9, 2007 at St. Marys RC Church, 566 Elm Street, Stamford, at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. Johns Cemetery in Darien. www.cognetta.com
