Giuseppe Campagna, 97, passed away on Monday, July 21, 2008 at Stamford Hospital. Born August 19, 1910 in Bari, Italy, he was the son of the late Michael and Maria Campagna.
Giuseppe was a tailor for Eagle Clothes. He was a loving father, devoted husband and a cherished grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Lina Campagna; a son, Michael Campagna; a daughter, Maria Appice and her husband Lorenzo all of Stamford; a sister, Mary Alpino of Westchester; two granddaughters, Cookie Vento and her husband Corey of Stamford; and Angela Futie and her husband DJ of Stamford; and four great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Wednesday, July 23 from 4:00 8:00 PM. A funeral procession will be leaving the funeral home at 9:20 AM on Thursday, July 24 and proceed to Sacred Heart RC Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM. Entombment will follow at St. Johns Cemetery in Norwalk
