Giuseppe Cava

Giuseppe Cava, 82, passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2006 at Stamford Hospital. Born on January 20, 1924 in Luzzi Cosenza Italy, he was the son of the late Carmeno and Carmela Gattabria Cava.
He was a veteran of the Italian Army, having served in WWII. He was a mason and retired in 1995.
He is survived by his wife, Teresa Docimo Cava of Italy; three daughters, Carmelina Bemonte and her husband Guido of Italy; Ninnetta Daniele and her husband Frank of Stamford; and Elena E. Sherwood and her husband Frank Stamford; three sisters, Josephina Dosimo of Stamford; Ida Cava and Rita Cava both of Italy; seven grandchildren, Robertino, Elena, Maria, Tara, Nina, Stephania and Madelina; and two great-grandchildren, Peter and Beatricia.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by two brothers, Rocco and Victor Gattabria.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Marys RC Church, 566 Elm Street, Stamford, on Saturday, November 17, 2006 at 10:00 AM. Interment will be private. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations are made to the American Cancer Society, 372 Danbury Road, Wilton, CT 06897. Arrangements are being handled by the Nicholas F.
