Giuseppina O. DAniello
March 16, 1910 — August 22, 2008
Giuseppina O. DAniello, 98, of Stamford, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 22, 2008, with her family by her side. Born in Scauri, Italy on March 16, 1910, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore Forcina and Filippa Conte Forcina.
Giuseppina was a member of the Sacred Heart Auxiliary and the Womans Minturnese Social Club. She was a truly extraordinary woman known for her strength and love of life. She was most proud of her family.
She is survived by three daughters, Edda and Peter Iudicone, Adele Scipione and Antoinette and Nicholas DiGiorgio, all of Stamford; a son, Domenico DAniello of Italy; two sisters, Pietrina Tommarello of California and Alfina DAniello of Italy; a brother, Armando Forcina of Italy; as well as eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Luigi DAniello in 1990.
A funeral procession will be leaving the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Monday, August 25, 2008 at 9:20 AM and proceed to the Sacred Heart RC Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. Marys Mausoleum, Greenwich.
Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, August 24 from 4-8 PM.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association, 5 Brookside Drive, Wallingford, CT 06492-1822 or to Sacred Heart RC Church, 37 Schuyler Ave., Stamford, CT 06902.
