Gladstone Cameron

Gladstone Cameron, 86, passed away on Monday, June 7, 2010 at Stamford Hospital. Born on July 26, 1923, in Jamaica, he was the son of the late Arnold Cameron.
Gladstone was a resident of Stamford since 1968. He worked in the maintenance department for 17 years at Stamford Hospital, until his retirement in 1988.
Gladstone is survived by his wife, Myrtle Shaw Cameron of Stamford; his sons, Tyrone, Patrick and Donovan; his daughters, Angela and Sandra; his brother, Desmond and sister Velita; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
In addition to his parents, Gladstone was predeceased by his daughter, Yvette Cameron.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, June 12, 2010, 9:30 AM at St. Mary’s RC Church, 566 Elm St., Stamford, CT. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery. Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, CT on Friday, June 11, 2010 from 3:00-7:00PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Gladstone’s name to the American Heart Association, 5 Brookside Drive, Wallingford, CT 06492-1822.
