Gloria N. Kapteina, 85, of Stamford passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 11, 2016 at Stamford Hospital.She was born in Stamford on February 13, 1931 to the late Michael and Anna Sabatina Interlandi.
Gloria was employed as a System Analyst with Chrysler for many years before her retirement.
She is survived by two brothers and one sister, as well as several nieces, nephews, grandnieces grandnephews and great grandnieces and great grandnephews.
Besides her parents, Gloria was predeceased by her husband Eugene Edward Kapteina, three brothers and seven sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary’s RC Church, 566 Elm Street, Stamford. Interment will follow at St. John’s RC Cemetery, Darien. There will be no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Gloria’s memory to the Alzheimer Association, CT Chapter,2075 Silas Deane Highway, Suite 100, Rocky Hill, CT 06067 or to the Autism Society of America, 4340 East West Highway, Suite #350, Bethesda, MD 20814
