Gloria Salazar

Gloria Belen Salazar, 90, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 25, 2016 in Stamford. She was born on July 31, 1925 in a small town, Riochico, Ecuador to the late Nicomedes and Esther Moreira Farfan. She emigrated to Stamford in May of 1970.
Gloria is survived by her loving son, Hugo Farfan and her daughter in law Betty Farfan, her grandchildren Hugo Farfan, Jr., Katherine Johnson and Betty Davila, as well as her great grandchildren all of CT.
Gloria’s memory will be treasured forever by her family.
Besides her parents, Gloria was predeceased by her husband EmilianoT. Salazar.
Family and friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford on Thursday, June 30, 2016 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM, with a prayer service to be celebrated at 6:15 PM. The Rev. Jose Jesus Montoya will officiate. Interment will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Gloria’s memory to Our Lady of Montserrat Church, 1 St. Benedict Circle, Stamford, CT 06902
