Gloria P. Sparan
August 14, 1928 — February 8, 2009
Gloria P. Sparan, 80, a lifelong resident of Greenwich, passed away on Sunday, February 08, 2009. Born on August 14, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Mary Ferraro Prizio.
Gloria was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Catherine of Siena RC Church. She was a graduate of the Convent of Sacred Heart, Stamford. Gloria was a former employee of Electrolux of Greenwich and Connecticut Light & Power. She loved traveling with her family and especially enjoyed cooking Sunday dinner for them.
Gloria is survived by her husband, Ralph Sparan, Jr. of Old Greenwich; two sons, Peter and his wife Molly Sparan of Norwalk and Ralph R. and his wife Michele Sparan of Stamford; and three grandchildren, Catherine, Marianne and Adrianna Sparan.
Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Tuesday, February 10, 2009 from 4-7 PM.
A funeral procession will be leaving the funeral home at 9:10 AM on Wednesday, February 11 and proceed to St. Catherine of Siena RC Church, 4 Riverside Avenue, Riverside, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. Marys Cemetery, Greenwich.
