Gloria J. Thorsen

Gloria J. Thorsen, 70, passed away tragically on Sunday, January 14, 2007 after a fire in her home. Born on August 11, 1936 in Stamford, she was the daughter of the late Myrtle Dixon.
Gloria was a homemaker and a member of the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
She is survived by two daughters, Amy Slinsky of Norwalk; and Janise Thorsen of Norwalk; a son, Tommy Thorsen also of Norwalk; five grandchildren, Kristen, Laura, Jeffrey, Crystal, and Robert; and five great-grandchildren, Shane, Kelsey, Myra, Samantha, and Kassidy.
In addition to her mother, she was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Thorsen; and a brother, Alexander Dixon.
Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Thursday, January 25, 2007 from 4:00 8:00 PM. A service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, January 26, 2007 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in New Canaan.
