Gordon Arthur Butler, 88 of Stamford passed away on Sunday May 6, 2007.
Born in Norwich, CT December 8, 1918 he was the son of the late Jay and Catherine Clark Butler.
Mr. Butler was a former employee of Clairol of Stamford and later was a security guard at Stamford Hospital until his retirement. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, and a longtime member of the Union Memorial Church, in the Glenbrook Section of Stamford.
Survivors include several friends from Mr. Butlers church, as well as from the Over 60 Club at Senior Services of Stamford.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife Marjorie Butler.
A Funeral Service will be held at Union Memorial Church 58 Church St. Stamford on Thursday May 10, 2007 at 12:30 PM with the Rev. Blaine Edele officiating. Interment will follow at Fairfield Memorial Park Cemetery Oaklawn Ave. Stamford, CT.
There will be no calling hours at the Funeral Home.
