Grace V. Coleman, 86, passed away suddenly on Monday, September 18, 2006 at Danbury Hospital. Born on May 25, 1920 in New York City, she was the daughter of the late Basil and Augusta Veronica Hughes Pack.

Grace graduated from Port Chester High School in 1938. She then married the late Charles Coleman at St. Mary’s Church in Greenwich in 1941. They were married for sixty three years. She was a former member of St. Mary’s Parish in Stamford and a Rosary Society member for fifty-two years. She also resided in the Cove section of Stamford for fifty-two years. She was a former employee of Conde Nast Publication of Greenwich and was a former employee of Sears as a Manager of Service Contracts until her retirement.

She is survived by her daughter, with whom she resided, Deborah G. Coleman of Danbury; a son, Charles W. Coleman, Jr. and his wife Martha of New Canaan; and two granddaughters, Alexis M. Coleman of New Canaan; and Natalie C. Coleman of Brooklyn, NY.

A funeral procession will be leaving the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, at 9:30 AM on Friday September 22, 2006 and proceed to St. Mary’s RC Church, 566 Elm Street, Stamford, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM. Entombment will then follow at St. John’s Mausoleum, Darien. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Thursday, September 21 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM.
