Harriet V. Komsta

Harriet V. Komsta, 83, passed away on August 31, 2008 at her home in Stamford. Born September 24, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Victor and Anna Karlanovich Pribanic.
Harriet danced for Harry Howard Productions in 1941 in New York City and was a member of the Red Hat Society and a parishioner of St. Maurice RC Church. She was a homemaker and loved to cook and eat.
She is survived by her son, Alan and his wife Susan Komsta; three grandchildren, Jennifer, Stephanie and Michael Komsta; a sister, Lucielle Peatt; and a brother, Doug Pribanic, all of Ridgefield.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Walter L. Komsta; a daughter, Roberta Komsta; and two brothers, Carl and Kenny Pribanic.
Services will be private. There will be no calling hours. The Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford is handling the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations are made to a charity of ones choice. www.cognetta.com
