Helen Docimo

Helen Docimo, 85, a lifelong resident of Stamford passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, January 1, 2016 at Stamford Hospital. She was born in Stamford on June 25, 1930 to the late John and Josephine Keeler Fox.
Helen truly enjoyed cooking and baking for her family. Her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren were the focal point of her life.
She is survived by her loving sons, Michael Docimo and his wife Cesidia, Wayne Docimo and his wife Cathy and Troy Docimo all of Stamford, two sisters Dorothy Buccino and Shirley Beauleau both of Stamford, her close friends Dr Chan Kook Rha and his wife Lori of Stamford, as well as her four grandchildren Stefanie Docimo, Stacie Fontana and her husband Peter, Regina and Michael Docimo and three great grandchildren Joseph, Nicolas, and Christopher Fontana.
Besides her parents and her husband Michael Docimo, Sr. of sixty seven years, she was predeceased by a brother Edward Keeler and two sisters Frances Tuccinardi and Irene Meehan.
A graveside service will be celebrated on Friday, January 8, 2016 at Fairfield Memorial Park Cemetery, Oaklawn Avenue, Stamford at 12:00 noon. There will be no calling hours. The Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory is honored to assist the Docimo family with the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Helen’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Building, Memphis, TN 38105
