Helen A. (Hio) Czarnecki, 93, died Saturday, September 29, 2007 at Stamford Hospital. Born October 10, 1913 in Derby, CT, she was the daughter of the late Anton and Anna Olsowa Hordeski.
Helen was a payment processor for seventeen years for G.E. Capital until her retirement in 1978, and a former employee of Electrolux. She was a parishioner of St. Clements RC Church and a former member of Catholic Daughters of America. She also was a member of National Council Senior Citizens Club/AARP.
She is survived by her two daughters, Caitlin Reynolds and her husband Richard of Stamford; and Jill Beaudry of Stamford; five grandsons, Richard, Garrison and Brian Reynolds; and Mark and Christopher Beaudry; and one great-grandson, Joseph Reynolds.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Frank (Stibber) Stanley Czarnecki; and six brothers: Michael, Benjamin, Joseph, Stanley, Edward, and Walter Hordeski.
Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Tuesday, October 2, 207 from 4:00 8:00 PM. A funeral procession will be leaving the funeral home at 9:20 AM on Wednesday, October 3, 2007 and proceed to St. Clements RC Church, 535 Fairfield Avenue, Stamford, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Fairfield Memorial Park Cemetery.
