Helen F. Van Langen

Helen F. Van Langen, 88, died Monday, October 1, 2007 at Stamford Hospital. Born October 4, 1918 in Stamford, she was the daughter of the late Antero and Mary Cavanna Falcioni.
Helen was a retired Administrative Assistant for Stolt Nielsen Transportation Group. She was a member of St. Leos Church Senior Group and the Over Sixty Club and a lifelong member of the St. Johns RC Church. Helen was a very outgoing person who loved life, dancing and being a mother.
She is survived by her brother, Guido Falcioni of South Plainfield, NJ; a sister-in-law, Pearl Falcioni of Darien, CT; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Gerhard Van Langen, Jr.; and a brother, A. Vincent Falcioni.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John the Evangelist RC Church, 279 Atlantic Street, Stamford, on Saturday, October 6, 2007 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. John Cemetery in Darien. There will be no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations are made to the American Cancer Society, 372 Danbury Road, Wilton, CT 06897. The Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, is handling the arrangements. www.cognetta.com
