Howard Brod, Jr.

Howard J. Brod, Jr., 78, of Stamford passed away peacefully on Friday, January 3, 2014 at Smith House Health Care Center. He was born in Port Chester, NY on May 21, 1935 to the late Howard J. Brod, Sr. and Melba Price Brod.
Howard was also a former resident of Norwalk and Florida. He was a self employed Builder/Contractor for fifty years before retiring from Signature Construction Co. of Stamford in 2005.
Howard is survived by his loving children, Debra L. Crosby and her husband John of Stamford, Cynthia A. DuJack of Danbury, Howard C. Brod of Clinton, CT, Daniel R. Brod of Ticonderoga, NY, two sisters Barbara Clark and her husband John of Long Island, Christina A. Phillips of Ridgefield, CT, including eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Family and friends may call at The Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford on Thursday, January 9, 2014 from 4:00-8:00 PM.A prayer service will be held on Thursday January 9, 2014 at 5:00 PM. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Howard’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, CT Chapter, 2075 Silas Deane Highway, Suite 100, Rocky Hill, CT 06067 or to the Parkinson Disease Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, New York, NY 10018.
