Jack P. Curcio, 85, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, August 1, 2009. Born February 22, 1924 in Greenwich, he was the son of the late Rocco and Rose Pirri Curcio.

Jack was an employee for First National Stores retiring in 1992 after fifty years. He was a veteran of the US Army. Jack was a devoted grandfather and spent many hours with his grandchildren and their two dogs, Hammy and Bella.

He is survived by his daughter, Mary Ann and her husband Edward Belanger of New Canaan; and grandchildren: Megan and her husband Peter Nisenson, and Matthew, Michael, Amanda and Andrea Belanger.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Mary F. Daly Curcio; four brothers and three sisters.

Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Thursday, August 6 from 5:00 �" 8:00 PM. A funeral procession will be leaving the funeral home at 9:20 AM on Friday, August 7 and proceed to Church of St. Cecilia, 1184 Newfield Avenue, Stamford, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM. Entombment will be held at St. John Cemetery Mausoleum in Darien at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations are made to Visiting Nurse and Hospice Care, 1029 East Main Street, Stamford, CT 06902.
