Jacqueline D. Wentzel, 82, a resident of Darien passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 9, 2012 at Stamford Hospital surrounded by her loving family.She was born on February 21, 1930 in Stamford to the late John J. and Mary Harris Briscoe.
Jacqueline graduated from New Haven State Teachers College and worked as an Elementary Teacher with the City of Stamford, Board of Education.
Jacqueline is survived by her loving daughters, Martha W. Hall and her husband Jeffrey of Stamford, Julia A. Beckett and her husband Bruce of Stamford, Nancy Melfi and her husband Mark of Stamford and Sally Young and her husband Thierry of Trumbull, CT. Also four loving grandchildren Allison, Henry, William and Genevieve surviving.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband John H. Wentzel in May of 2012.
Funeral services and Interment will be private. The Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, CT 06902 is honored to assist the Wentzel family with the arrangements.
