James Byrne Jr

James J. Byrne, Jr., age 80 of Palm Coast, FL formerly of Stamford, CT passed away peacefully Saturday November 5, 2016 at Halifax Health Hospice Ormond Beach Care Center with his loving wife by his side.
Born in Stamford, CT August 21, 1936 he was the son of the late James Sr. and Rose Mikulec Byrne.
James was a US Air Force Veteran, a retired Stamford Police Officer for 21 Years and a Electrician by trade.
He was a devoted husband to Loretta (Mallozzi) Byrne for 58 years, loving father to his son Jimmie V. Byrne and wife Lori of Palm Coast, FL, Daughters Cheryl Byrne and her partner Lisa Alberici of Shelton, CT and Paula Byrne of Stamford, CT.
James will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, CT 06902 on Wednesday, November 9,2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Funeral procession will be leaving the funeral home on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at 10:15 a.m. and processing to St. Clement Church, 535 Fairfield Ave. Stamford, CT 06902 for a 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow at St. John Cemetery, Darien, CT.
