James Saunders

James A. Saunders, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 he was 50 years old. James was born September 15, 1966 in Mineola, NY to the late Richard W. Saunders and Maureen Shields Saunders.
James was known as Jimmy to close family & friends. He graduated from West Hill High School. Jimmy lived a full, active life. He won multiple medals for his participation in the Special Olympics, in such sports as skiing, tennis, and swimming. Jimmy also played guitar in the ARI Heart & Soul band. Jimmy exceeded all expectations in his life.
Jimmy was most happy when spending time with his family. Jimmy is survived by his caring mother Maureen Saunders of Stamford, his three brothers Richard of Arizona, Ken of Florida, Bill and his wife Trang, of Stamford, and a sister Maureen Scott of Florida. Also surviving are eight nieces and nephews, one great- niece and two great-nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at The Basilica of St. John the Evangelist RC Church, 279 Atlantic Street, Stamford, CT, on Monday, October 31, 2016 at 9:00AM. Interment will be held privately.
