Jane �"Jean MacKenzie McNally passed away on August 9, 2008 in Trumbull.
Born April 7, 1913 in Springburn, Glasgow, Scotland, daughter of the late Alexander D. and Elizabeth Watt MacKenzie.
Jean arrived in the U.S in 1923 and lived in New York City until 1927 when the family moved to Stamford and resided in Stamford until the year of 2000, when she moved to Monroe, CT.
Jean was employed with Conde Nast until their move to New York and commuted for a short time before joining Dorr Oliver in the Personnel Dept. where she retired.
She was a member of The First Presbyterian Church for seventy seven years, joining April 18, 1930. She served as a Sunday School Teacher and Deacon.
She was an active member of D.O.S., Lady MacKenzie Lodge #68, attending many conventions throughout the states with her devoted deceased friend Nancy Rankin.
Jean was predeceased by her husband, James McNally and brother Edward MacKenzie.
Survivors include her daughter, Betty Costello of Monroe, granddaughters, Kim Frattalone of Stratford and Nancy Doolittle of Trumbull. She is also survived by five great grandchildren, Michael, Brittany, Christopher, Lauren and Olivia, including two nieces Catherine Jaeger, Jean Ginolfi and several nephews, nieces and cousins here and in Scotland.
Friends and family may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave.,Stamford, on Wednesday, August 13 from 6:00 8:00 PM.
Friends are asked to meet directly at The First Presbyterian Church of Stamford, 1101 Bedford St., Stamford where a Funeral Service will be celebrated on Thursday, August 14 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Fairfield Memorial Park, Oaklawn Ave.,Stamford.
