Jean Marie (McKary) Guilbert, 76, died Monday, October 22, 2007 at Stamford Hospital. Born July 5, 1931 in Port Chester, NY; she was the daughter of the late James P. and Anna Shultz McKary.

Jean graduated from Greenwich High School Class of 1949. On May 26, 1951 she married Paul Gerard Guilbert at Sacred Heart Church, Byram (Greenwich), CT. Jean worked at HELCo as a dispatcher and a Customer Service Supervisor retiring in December 1988. Jean was a member of the HELCo Hi-Line Club and the Springdale VFW Ladies Auxiliary. At St. Mary’s RC Church in Stamford, she was a Eucharistic Minister as well as serving on the Bingo, The Seniors, the Thrift Shop and Annual Feast committees and a member of the Nocturnal Adoration Society.

She is survived by her son, Paul G. Jr. and his wife Marybeth (Panapada) Guilbert of Pleasant Prairie, WI; her two daughters, Barbara Ann Marie Romans and her husband Chuck of Stamford; and Debra Jane Guilbert of Stamford; four grandchildren, Paul III of Racine, WI; Douglas W. of Garden Grove, CA; Traci Marie of Pleasant Prairie, WI; and Alexander C. Romans of Stamford.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Paul, in February 2006.

Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Thursday, October 25, 2007 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM. A funeral procession will be leaving the funeral home at 11:20 AM on Friday, October 26, 2007 and proceed to St. Mary RC Church, 566 Elm Street, Stamford, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 Noon. Interment will follow at Greenwood Union Cemetery in Rye, New York. The family would like to thank the healthcare providers attending to our mother, in particular SEMS, Pulmonary Associates of Stamford and Dr. Debra Adler-Klein.
