Jean Peterson

Jean Peterson, 80, of Stamford, passed away peacefully on Monday April 15, 2013 at Milstein Hospital at New York Presbyterian surrounded by her loving family. Jean was born in Trinidad on May 24, 1932 to the late Matthew and Mable Davey Young.
Jean is survived by her daughter Jeanette Peterson and her husband Dale Wright of Stamford, two sisters; Pearl Richards of Texas and Roma Marshall of Trinidad, three brothers; Percy Phillips, Sedrick Young and Frank Young, all of Trinidad, as well as four grandchildren; Deidre Knight, Lawrence Johnson, Daquan Wright and Makai Wright. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Besides her parents, Jean is predeceased by her son Kenneth Young as well as one sister and one brother.
A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness, 611 Fairfield Avenue, Stamford, CT on Saturday April 27, 2013 at 2:00PM. The Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, CT is honored to assist the Peterson family with the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Jean’s honor to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness, 611 Fairfield Avenue, Stamford, CT 06902.
