Jennie Caccavella Origi died peacefully in her home on Saturday, November 5, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Bovino, Foggio, Italy on March 27, 1921 to the late Michael and Mary Caccavella.
She is survived by her sister, Dena Caccavella O’Leary and her children, sons, Frank Origi and his wife Kathy, Michael Origi and his wife Pam, Dennis Origi and his wife Dana; and son-in-law, Don Romeo; three daughters Terri Marino and her husband Lenny; Beverly D’Aprile and Michelle Greer. Six grandchildren: Laura Marino Baxter; Michael Marino; Melissa D’Aprile; Jennifer Origi; Crysta Greer and Audra Greer Lamonica; great-grandchild, William Marino and several nieces and nephews.
Jennie was a homemaker and a caregiver who committed herself to the care and wellbeing of others during their illness; her sister, parents, and especially to the care of her husband John during his 7-year battle with Alzheimer's Disease. A loving mother, Jennie dedicated her life to raising her children and providing a loving home. Her greatest joy in life was her children and grandchildren and she was happiest when her family was gathered around her.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, John Origi, and a daughter, Mary Romeo; also, a sister, Katharine Diacri and three brothers Tony, Pat and Frank Caccavella.
Family and friends may call at The Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, CT on Saturday, November 12, 2016 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, it was Jennie’s wish that donations be made in memory of her daughter Mary C. Romeo to the Bennett Cancer Center, 1351 Washington Blvd Suite 202, Stamford, CT 06902.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness, 891 Newfield Ave, Stamford, CT
