Jerome Jerry Mckeown

Jerome Jerry McKeown, 42, of Stamford died Saturday, September 15 at Stamford Hospital after a tragic motorcycle accident.
Born on October 25, 1964 in Corona Queens, NY, he was the son of Blanche McArdle McKeown and the late John McKeown.
Jerry was a classic car and motorcycle enthusiast, who loved to rebuild old motorcycles. He was an active member at his Church and was known for his quick wit and readiness to help or just talk to anyone. Jerry could be found most days at his favorite coffee shop, Donut Delight, where he was on a first name basis with everyone. He moved to Stamford in 2002 and quickly made friends wherever he went.
A licensed exterminator for over 10 years, Jerry recently began work at his Church, St. Bridget of Ireland, where he enjoyed working with Father Gill and being a member of the Church council.
In addition to his mother Blanche of New Jersey, he is survived by his wife, Jessica and their 4 year old daughter Sandra of Stamford; one sister, Eileen Bonsignore and her husband Sal of New Jersey; one brother, John and his wife Patricia, of New York; his mother in law, Martha Mullen of Stamford; three nieces, Ashley, Shannon and Casey; and one nephew, John; two uncles, Raymond McArdle and his wife Dello of Ireland; and Bob O'Connell of Nevada. Jerry is also survived by many cousins.
Besides his father, Jerry is predeceased by his aunt, Alice O'Connell.
Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford on Thursday, September 20, 2007 between the hours of 4 - 8 PM. A funeral procession will be leaving the funeral home on Friday, September 21, 2007 at 10:20 AM and proceed to St. Bridget of Ireland RC Church, 278 Strawberry Hill Avenue, Stamford where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM. Interment will immediately follow at Fairfield Memorial Park Cemetery, Stamford.
