Jiovina R. Lorenti, 82, died on Thursday March 2, 2006 at her home in Hernando Beach, FL. She was born on March 24, 1923 in Charleston, SC, to the late Salvatore and Pasquelina Bello DeRosa.
She is survived by her two daughters, JoAnn Peterson-Calanco of New Milford; and Janice L. Lorenti Schneider of Hernando Beach, FL; a son John J. Lorenti, Jr. of Bloomingburgh, NY; two sisters Gloria Saverine of Darien, CT; and Maryann Anderson of Stamford; two grandchildren Christian J. Peterson and Brian J. Lorenti; and several great nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband John J. Lorenti, Sr.; her brother Anthony DeRosa; two sisters, Christine Camerota and Evelyn Loiacano; and a grandson Thomas J. Lorenti.
A funeral procession will be leaving the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford at 8:20 AM on Saturday March 11, 2006 and proceed to St. Mary RC Church, 566 Elm Street, Stamford, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. Johns Mausoleum, 25 Camp Avenue, Darien. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday March 10, 2006 from 4:00 8:00 PM.
