Johanna Barbara Westerfield, 84, lifelong resident of Stamford, died Monday, August 20, 2007 at her home. Born May 24, 1923 in Stamford, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Magdalena Miscavage Stuckus. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her three sons, Robert G. Westerfield of Stamford; Richard S. Westerfield and his wife Melanie of Pittsburgh, PA; and David Westerfield and his wife Joy of Danbury; and two grandchildren, Kevin and Kyle Westerfield.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Ernest J. Westerfield; a sister, Mary Slavinsky; a brother, Stanley Stokes; and her twin daughters, Johanna and Barbara.
A funeral service will be held at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Saturday, August 25, 2007 at 11:00 AM with Reverend Msgr. Edward R. Surwilo officiating. Interment will follow at Fairfield Memorial Park Cemetery in Stamford. There will be no calling hours.
