John Esposito

John G. Esposito, 83, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2009 at Gaylord Hospital in Wallingford. Born July 4, 1925 in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Joseph A. and Josephine A. Turro Esposito.
John was an employee of Olin Corporation for thirty four years until his retirement in 1987. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Father Miller Council #13216 and a former Grand Knight.
John is survived by a son, Joseph C. Esposito and Denise A. of Stamford; two grandchildren, Stephen J. and Victoria A. Esposito; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Anna Ciaccio Esposito; and two brothers.
Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Wednesday, March 18 from 2:00 �" 4:00 PM and 7:00 �" 9:00 PM. A funeral procession will be leaving the funeral home at 8:50 AM on Thursday, March 19 and proceed to St. Leo Parish, Roxbury Road, Stamford, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 AM. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 3620 Tilden Avenue, Brooklyn, NY.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations are made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 1 Selleck Street, Suite 500, Norwalk, CT 06851.
