John K. Fleming, 48, a lifelong resident of Stamford passed away unexpectedly at home on March 13, 2016.He was born in Stamford on January 3, 1968 to the late Willie Dave Fleming and Sarah L. Conner.
John was a semi-retired stock employee and computer technician. He attended Westhill High School and was a member of the All Star Playmakers and continued to support the Drama Department until his death. He graduated with honors from Westhill High School and was to attend Yale University, but his mother’s medical issues kept him from attending.Upon graduation from High School, John began working at Macy’s of Stamford. He was a devoted employee and he eagerly looked forward to the Macy’s Day Parade, which he walked in for the past seventeen years. His family and his work were the most important part of his life. John was a devoted brother and son, an avid gamer, a beta tester and enjoyed building computers. He was also a problem solver who often took on difficult and unwanted projects at work and around the house. John was a spiritual man and will be deeply missed by his friends, family and all who knew him.
He is survived by his siblings, Polly Bautista, Nettie B. Conner, Jay Conner, David Fleming, Daniel Fleming, Ruth Fleming and Ericka Fleming, as well as many nieces and nephews, including Club members, Darryll Fleming and Lakiesha Taylor, Michelle Campbell, Robert Phillips ,Tiffany Scoggins, Tiesha Pusey, Kayla Honebein, Alicia Fleming, Kyeanna Fleming, Harold Harding III, Jessica Harding, Cheyanne Conner, Jordan Conner and Daniel Conner.
Besides his parents, John was recently predeceased by his oldest sister Bertha Conner.
A Service of Remembrance will be celebrated on March 21, 2016 at 10:00 AM at the Union Memorial Church, 58 Church Street,Stamford. Pastor Blaine Edele will be officiating. There will be no calling hours and Interment will be private.
