John Gallagher

John L. (Jack) Gallagher, 61, passed away peacefully at his home in Springdale on Tuesday, January 26th. Born on December 30, 1954 in Hartford, CT, he was the son of the late Ralph F. and Joan MacEntee Gallagher.
Jack was a credit analyst at PerkinElmer and also assisted part-time at Springdale Florist. He was a member and past president of the Glenbrook Athletic Club (GAC), and was an avid horse racing fan who enjoyed golf.
Jack is survived by his stepmother Marguerite Gallagher of Sarasota, Fla., also his sister Kathleen and her husband James Jones of Norwalk, his three brothers Joseph Gallagher and wife Rosemary of Staten Island, NY, Charles Gallagher and wife Kathleen of Fairport, NY, and Thomas Gallagher and wife Michelle of Fairport, NY. Jack is also survived by his loving nieces Kaitlin Jones, Katie Gallagher, and Honorah Gallagher, and nephews Timothy, Patrick, Ryan, and Neil Gallagher.
Besides Jack’s parents, he was predeceased by his sister Maryann Gallagher.
Family and friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford, CT on Friday, January 29th, 2016 from 4:00PM to 8:00PM. A Prayer service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, January 30th, 2016 at 10:00AM, followed by a procession to St. John’s Cemetery, Darien, CT, where interment will be held.
