John Connie Helsing

John �"Connie Helsing, 79, passed away Sunday, September 2, 2007 at Greenwich Hospital. Born in Greenwich on November 26, 1927, he was the son of the late Emil Helsing, Sr. and Mary Vitko Helsing of Stamford.
John graduated from Stamford High School, Class of 1946. He served as a Police Officer for the Town of Greenwich for twenty-two years and was a member of the Retired Greenwich Police Association and a lifetime member of the Glenbrook Athletic Club. He was a Veteran of the US Army having served in the Korean War. He was also employed at Doctors Hospital in New York, NY for twenty years prior to his retirement. John was a dedicated husband, loving father, and loyal friend.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-two years, Von R. Helsing, formerly Von R. Baker of Nova Scotia, Canada; a son, Daryl Helsing of Stamford; a daughter, Vonne Petruzzellis of Jacksonville, FL; a sister, Claire Helsing of Stamford; a brother, Emil Helsing, Jr. of San Jose, CA; and two grandchildren.
