John Joseph Henesy, 54, of Stamford passed away suddenly on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at Stamford Hospital. He was born on May 1, 1962 in Rockville Centre, NY to the late Walter and Eileen Maloney Henesy. John was well known in Stamford for being the former owner of The Italian Gourmet. He loved his family dearly.
John is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Laurie Porcelli Henesy of Stamford, his loving children Kaitlin Anne Henesy and Stephen Richard Henesy, both of Stamford, as well as four brothers, six sisters and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, John was predeceased by his brother Richard Stephen Henesy.
A funeral procession will be leaving the Nicholas F. CognettaFuneral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford at 9:30 AM on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 AM at Our Lady Star of the Sea RC Church, 1200 Shippan Avenue, Stamford. Interment will follow at St.
John's Cemetery, 25 Camp Ave, Darien. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, March 13, 2017 from 2:00-4:00 PM & 7:00-9:00 PM.
